'Safe' two degree target is actually unsafe

 warming in global temperatures of two degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels as a safe target appears to have currency.

However, many argue such a target is simply wrong, unsafe and does little more than provide a misleading and dangerous comfort to those unaware what such an apparent minuscule rise in global temperatures really means.

In simple terms, a two-degree increase is unsafe as that alone has the potential to disrupt the lives of many people and could lead to non-linear changes that could result in catastrophic climate change.

This brochure illustrates, in simple terms, the implications of those seeming small temperatures rises and importantly the fact that by the end of the century the world might be dealing with a four-degree increase, which scientists say is incompatible with maintaining human civilization.
