Gavin's a community garden enthusiast

Greater Shepparton
CEO, Gavin Cator.
Greater City of Shepparton’s new Chief Executive Office, Gavin Cator, has seen many community gardens in America and is an enthusiast of the benefits such an enterprise brings to the community.

In some circles community gardens are referred to “urban agriculture” and the process of making it a part of the local social structure, along with its misunderstood importance in the overall welfare of the neighbourhood, is discussed in “From Vacant City Lots to Food On the Table” is published in the American “Yes!” magazine.

A link within the story to “urban gardening movement” helps us understand the importance of “urban agriculture” that it is argued “is yielding a small but radical cultural change”.
