Building a community garden at Buddina

Community gardens have been in conversation mix among those who gather each month Beneath the Wisteria  and so it is interesting to watch (virtually at least) such a garden being created behind the Kawana Library at Buddina on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

Elise Barry initiated the idea and worked with a team of enthusiastic volunteers to bring the gardens to fruition and to the point that they now are a place where people plant and harvest their vegetables.

Watch the video and you will notice that chooks are a part of the working garden. Check out the Buddina Community Garden.
