Dave Glover, a Beneath the Wisteria supporter, has
unearthed something from recent history that suggests that Australia’s present Coalition
Government has views contrary to those of former PM, John Howard.
A story in the 2006 Sydney Morning Herald headed: “PM’s southerly change: expect extreme weather” tells how Mr Howard embraced a key
climate change forecast, warning Australian to prepare for more extreme events
such as the current bushfires.
Mr Howard was in north-east Tasmania looking at damage
caused by bushfires that has arrived unusually early.
