Beneath the Wisteria is moving to Tatura, for this Saturday at least

Beneath the Wisteria is on the move.

Stuart Mock Place, Tatura.
Tomorrow it will be a part of “Play in the Piazza” in Stuart Mock Place at Tatura.

Those who normally gather Beneath the Wisteria in Shepparton’s Maude St Mall will join those having fun in Tatura.

Discussions will start at the usual time of 11:30am and continue for about an hour. Shade is plentiful, but seating is not available and so those planning to attend are advised to bring a folding chair.

Tatura Transition Towns organizes Play in the Piazza with the aim of illustrating to children, and their parents, that outdoor fun is still possible without electronic devices dependent on power and oil-based products.

The philosophies of Transition Towns align closely with those of Beneath the Wisteria with both groups considering how communities survive in a decidedly different future.

Transition Towns set out to build resilient communities in an energy depleted future and those who gather each month Beneath the Wisteria discuss community and individual responses to climate change.

The topic for tomorrow’s Beneath the Wisteria in Tatura will be “How do we build resilience in communities?”
