Man’s search for fossil fuels appears endless and
expense, regardless of whether or not that cost is purely fiscal or
environmental, is apparently disregarded.
Of course
the environmental cost is not even a consideration for, it seems, money in the
bank will almost immediately assuage any ecological concerns.
Evidence
of corporate disregard for both economic and environmental issues are evident
with the Ichthys gas project that has been made possible through a US$20
billion debt provided by 41 financial institutions to make it the largest
financing ever arranged in international markets.
ABC
Environment reports in a story headed: “LNG: the energy projects they’d rather you didn’t notice” that it could be the fossil fuel industry expansion to ever fly
under the radar.
