Sign is nearly five metres wide and almost 2.5 metres high. |
The illuminated sign
on Shepparton’s busiest intersection that lists CO2 levels
is actually 4.8 metres wide and 2.4 metres high.
Shepparton’s Top Gun Multimedia CEO, Kelly McPherson, has
corrected an earlier report (thanks Kelly) suggesting the sign was somewhat
smaller than that.
The sign is supported by Shepparton’s GV Crop Protection in
Drummond Rd, the carbon dioxide information is sourced through services
provided by the CSIRO and the Bureau of Meteorology and the design was by Top
Gun.
Taking advice from Professor David Karoly at the University of Melbourne’s School of Earth Sciences, the figures shown on the sign are
base-line data taken at the Cape Grim air pollution station in north west
Tasmania.
