Solar power is
democratic in that applied thoughtfully it can break the grip oligarchies have
on society.
Wind power is similar and the installation of some 90
turbines in Snowtown in South Australia has been strongly endorsed by the local
community.
The project, which started nearly two years ago, will
provide power for about 230,000 homes.
The project, described in an ABC story headed: “Snowtown wind farm near completion and enjoying strong local community support” covers
about 30 kilometres and involves 24 landowners.
