'Wisterians' can hear about ethical investing

“Wisterians” are invited/urged to learn something about ethical investing on Friday night, November 7.

Michelle Brisbane.
Former Shepparton girl, Michelle Brisbane, who now operates Ethical Investment Services in Melbourne, will talk about her work during a special forum at Shepparton Terminus Hotel.

The session begins at 7:00pm in the High St hotel’s Gallery Room and will allow ample time to questions and answers.

Friday night’s event, “Slap Ethics” is being organized by the Shepparton-based Slap Tomorrow and the group’s president, John Pettigrew, will introduce Michelle, who is the daughter of Shepparton’s Lorraine and Don Brisbane.

Along with discussion about how people should consider ethical investments, Michelle will talk about divestment, something that became remarkably topical following the divestment of its financial interests in many fossil fuel stocks by the Australian National University.

Meals at hotel prices will be available in the gallery room from 6:00pm.
