David Karoly will be
the first in a series of speakers organized by Strathbogie Voices and the Euroa
Environment Group.
The University of Melbourne climate scientist will talk
about climate change and the Strathbogie Region during a lecture at “The Flour
Mill” in Euroa on Saturday, February 7, starting at 11:00am.
Professor Karoly, a professor in Atmospheric Science at the
School of Earth Sciences at the university and is an internationally renowned
expert on climate change and a key spokesperson on this topic.
The key questions he will address are: What are our key
concerns about climate change? What are the opportunities? What does it mean
for the Euroa area?
The Strathbogie Voices and the Euroa Environment Group see
2015 as a watershed year for action on climate change and have been delighted that
so many great people and organisations are part of this work.
Spokesperson and Strathbogie Voices member, Kate Auty, said: “We have been bowled over with the responses
from people, it reflects what we know - the environment is a core concern for
all of us.”
Those eager to attend the first in this near year-long
