| Victoria's Environment Minster, Lisa Neville. |
“Climate variability” seriously derailed Victoria’s climate
change mitigation efforts, and sadly claimed the resignations of a few
disillusioned people.
That, however, has all changed with decisions by the State
Government to ban the use of the term “climate variability” as enforced by the
former Napthine Government.
Today’s Melbourne Age
reports that “climate change” is seriously back on the agenda it its story “Climate variability out, climate change in”.
“In a symbolic but significant gesture, Environment Minister
Lisa Neville has ordered bureaucrats in her department to "call it what it
is - climate change", banning the phrase "climate variability"
preferred by the former Napthine government,” the Age reports.
