Kerryn, currently with the University of Tasmania, came to
Shepparton as a guest of Slap Tomorrow and the GV Community Fund.
More than 50 people gathered at the Shepparton GoTAFE Harder
Auditorium to hear Kerryn talk about the problems associated with endless growth
pointing out how warnings from scientists about the finitude of our planet have
been ignored or as Kerryn says, “Scorned as bogus predictions of doom”.
She said those warnings have been systematically resisted by
economists and the corporate sector.
