laims and
counter-claims about climate change continue to keep newsgatherers in the U.S.
busy.
Evidence about climate change is unrelenting and yet some
groups and individuals, influential and otherwise, persist with argument that
the science is not yet settled.
One of those disturbingly influential and well-funded
groups, American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), who has long questioned
climate change is now arguing that is has been wrongly accused of climate
denial.
This appears to be little more that another decision delaying
gambit that will simply ignite further debate and even more procrastination.
The Washington Post
reports - “This conservative group is tired of being accused of climate denial— and is fighting back” – that ALEC is defending its position.
