cts of courage vary
in intensity and probably the greatest ever faced stands between climate change
advocates and the resolution of some workable response.
Those who comprehend the dynamics of our damaged climate and
the reasons why that has happened must now step forward and declare their
position.
Taking such a stance demands courage unseen in contemporary
times for it means challenging that status quo, it means demanding and arguing
for something quite different, a way of life about which none of us are
familiar, nor can explain in any detail.
Do not despair for you are not alone for on your side are
many people, among the former Secretary General of the United Nations, Kofi
Annan, who has called on those of us who
accept the reality of climate change to challenge the skeptics.
In a Guardian
story - “Kofi Annan: ‘We must challenge climate-change sceptics who deny the facts’” – he says in answer to the question: “What’s your greatest fear for the
future of our planet? That the world is reaching the tipping point beyond which
climate change may become irreversible.”
