Anna Rose told forum about increasing torrential downpours

T

he fact that a warmer atmosphere would absorb more moisture to become torrential downpours was explained at a climate change forum in Shepparton in 2013.

Anna Rose - she told a Shepparton
 audience in 2013 about
increasing torrential downpours
resulting from climate change.
Speaker, Anna Rose, former head of the Australian Youth Climate Coalition, explained this dynamic to about 650 people at the Slap Tomorrow forum.

Evidence of the torrential rain syndrome can be seen in action all around the world with the latest occurring in Texas.

USA Today reported on June 15 that a forecast of heavy rain from a developing tropical storm was bringing "a dangerous flood threat" to portions of Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana according to the National Weather Service.

“The worst of the heavy rain is expected Tuesday and Wednesday from a storm that's now spinning in the Gulf of Mexico. The National Hurricane Center in Miami named the disturbance Tropical Storm Bill on Monday night. It will deliver up to 10 inches of rain this week, AccuWeather said,” it reported.
