USA Today reported
on June 15 that a forecast of heavy rain from a developing tropical storm was
bringing "a dangerous flood threat" to portions of Texas, Oklahoma
and Louisiana according to the National Weather Service.
“The worst of the heavy rain is expected Tuesday and
Wednesday from a storm that's now spinning in the Gulf of Mexico. The National Hurricane Center in Miami named the disturbance Tropical Storm Bill on Monday
night. It will deliver up to 10 inches of rain this week, AccuWeather said,” it
