Unique Sawmill House demonstrates what is possible

T the end of each working day, brothers Chris and Benjamin Gilbert would stand back, have a beer and do a critique.

They were at work on the The Sawmill House, a unique home they built for Benjamin’s family at Yackandandah with large blocks of reclaimed concrete.

Usually this chill-out chat created the spark for another idea on the different ways they could tackle various parts of the project.

Chris was the architect part of The Sawmill House equation, complemented by sculptor Benjamin’s particular skills that helped pull it all together.
