Australians do not believe in climate change, making the country the worst in
the world for climate sceptics, a study of almost 20,000 people has found.
The research by the University of Tasmania found 17 per cent
of Australians thought climate change was not real, compared with 15 per cent
of people in Norway, 13 per cent of New Zealanders and 12 per cent of
Americans.
The study, published in the journal Global Environmental
Change, was based on data collected as part of the International Social Survey
Programme in 2010 and 2011.
