Good sense proposal decried as being 'economically irresponsible'

A

proposal by the Labor Opposition in Australia to markedly increase the country’s dependence of renewable energy has prompted the expected response fossil-fuel energy sector.

Labor has announced a goal of 50 per cent renewable energy by 2030 and the coal lobby has predicted social and economic chaos.

The proposal has been applauded by the renewable energy sector, as expected, and damned by the coal lobby, again as expected.
