ill Shorten has
signalled Australia’s post-2020 emissions reduction target may not win
bipartisan support if Tony Abbott forces Australia into “the path of lowest common
denominator” in Paris later this year.

The opposition leader told reporters on Tuesday
bipartisanship was important on emissions reduction targets, but not at any
cost.
The signal from Shorten comes as the Abbott government moves
to formal consideration of the post-2020 emissions reduction target it will
take to United Nations-led climate talks in Paris, which start on 30 November.
