| Nicholas Stern - warnings for humanity. |
Submissions are presently being called for from the public (“Climate Change Review Submissions Now Open”) and common sense – if there is such a
thing – suggests the Act should massively strengthened, rather than weakened in
any way.
Reading the latest work of Nicholas Stern (famous for
writing the 2006 “Stern Review” commissioned by the British Government to
consider the economics of climate change), “Why Are We Waiting?: The Logic, Urgency, and Promise of Tackling Climate Change”, humanity has no other option
but to tighten climate acts and strengthen environmental protections.
Meanwhile, ClimateProgress
reports that in the U.S. republicans are determined to “gut” the country’s
environmental protections.

ClimateProgress story - “EPA Slams House Republicans For Trying To Gut Environmental Protections”.
