ind farms are a critical
part of any nation-wide renewable energy construct.
Significant effort has gone into creating doubt about what
is one of the most-chaste forms of renewable energy and this weekend people
will have chance to see and touch these most discussed forms of energy.
The Clean Energy Council reports that on Sunday, October 11,
(that’s this weekend) wind farms across Australia will throw open their gates
to the public through a range of fun and informative open day events.
The first Wind Farm Open Day ran back in 2013 with five wind
farms opened up to the public. This year wind farms across the country will
again be running events for the local communities to come and enjoy a day out.
The council says, “Wind farms generate clean and safe
renewable energy – but don’t take our word for it, come and see for yourself on
11 October 2015. Here is a list of wind farms that will be running an open day.
We’ll add more wind farms to the list as they are announced.”
Read the story here and see a list of those farms which are
open - “Australian Wind Farm Open Day 2015”.
