John James Audubon - he understood
Earth wasn't a gift, rather something
we had borrowed from our children. |
ohn James Audubon,
the late American ornithologist, naturalist, and painter, who was known for his
extensive studies documenting all types of American birds and for his detailed
illustrations that depicted the birds in their natural habitats, once said:
“A true conservationist is a man who knows that the world is not given
by his fathers,
but borrowed from his children”.
