'He spoke my mind', climate change denier said of Bob Carter

About 100 people paid to hear the late Professor Bob Carter speak in Shepparton a few years ago.

One local climate sceptic leaving the meeting was overheard to say; “I felt he was speaking my mind.”

The Goulburn Valley has ample climate change deniers and many, it seemed, were at the city’s Park Lake Motel to hear what this world recognized climate sceptic had to say.

He brought an aura of academic authority to evening and was warmly applauded by most who attended.

This is what his obituary in The Age today said:

"Professor Robert (Bob) Carter was one of the best known of all the scientists who argue that it is far from proven that humans are causing dangerous warming of the climate. He gave presentations to the Select Committee on climate policy to the Australian Parliament, and testified before the United States Senate on the issue of climate change. "
