Invite to GV Food Co-operative's AGM

Beneath the Wisteria supporters have been invited to attend the soon to be held annual general meeting of the Goulburn Valley Food Co-operative (GVFC).

Author and business consultant, Abe David, will be the guest speaker at the Sunday, February 21, meeting.

Cooperative chairman, Les Cameron, said the February 21 event will start at midday at Chilgala Farm, at 3072 McEwen Rd, Stanhope South, with Mr David to speak at midday with Mr Max Ogden.

The co-operative’s annual general meeting will follow at 1:00pm, followed at 2:00pm by the first meeting for 2016 of the new GVFC board.

Mr David grew up in country Victoria and studied at Monash University during the turbulent 70s and then spent 20 years in construction and manufacturing as a union and political activist.

He co-authored “The Third Wave Australian and Asian Capitalism” in the early 1990s with Professor Ted Wheelwright of the University of Sydney.

He will talk about his journey and share his insights on the Asian Century and, in particular, the effects of Asian investment in the Goulburn Valley.
