Parts of drought-stricken central-west Queensland have received their best rain in three years.

The unseasonable wet weather is a welcome relief to many graziers in the region, after disappointing falls across summer.

Louise Cameron from Glenferrie Station east of Ilfracombe measured 70 millimetres of rain on Tuesday.

"It was brilliant. I just kept waking through the night, numerous times, thinking 'Oh my gosh, there's still a good constant drizzle on the roof'," she said.
