Changing climate opening new vistas for insects

Changing climate conditions are opening new vistas in populous areas for many insects that have long had their range restrained by either heat or cold.

However, with the warming of the planet means insects, particularly mosquitoes are now breeding and multiplying comfortably in areas that until now had been beyond their comfort range.

And in today’s Melbourne Age, Barbara Liston writes about the arrival of the mosquito-borne Zika virus the Continental United States.
