Great Barrier Reef probation report

The Australian Government made a pile of promises to the World Heritage Committee to avoid the international shame of having our Great Barrier Reef added to the ‘in danger’ list.

Last year, the World Heritage Committee heard the hundreds of thousands of people asking for more protection for the Reef, and made the decision to put our governments on probation until the health of the Reef improved.

Now it’s crunch time. The Government must report to the WHC on progress made in the coming week, and you can bet they’ll give themselves a pat on the back.

Now, read the “Reef probation report.”
