Consumers already paying a 'business as usual' energy tax: Carnegie

There are cheaper ways to deliver baseload off grid power than building poles and wires and burning carbon, according to energy chief, Dr Michael Ottaviano.

Dr Ottaviano is CEO of Australia renewables company Carnegie Clean Energy.

It's just been chosen to help speed up the global roll out of affordable and clean energy.

Carnegie is the only Australian company amongst 16 global businesses that will gather in Washington D.C. next month at the invitation of the U.S. State Department to help leverage market forces to achieve the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals.
