President Trump’s decision to leave the Paris Accords — an international set of climate agreements that would put the world on track to avoid the worst damages of future climate change — is deeply troubling.

It is also the ultimate statement of denial. It denies the irrefutable conclusions of the global scientific community. It denies the findings of every other government in the world, except Syria. It denies the wisdom of the world’s most innovative business leaders, who see the Paris Accords as a pathway to developing a stronger, greener economy for the 21st century. It denies common sense.
