Remondis is a multinational recycling and rubbish collection firm, based in Germany and with a 30,000-strong workforce worldwide. Its Melbourne office is in Coolaroo.
The company’s state manager wrote to customers in February to tell them that, due to Australia’s recycling crisis, Remondis would no longer be delivering materials to recycling facilities.
Instead, it would dump them in landfill.
