'Sunburnt Country' delivered to Alan's door

Shepparton’s Alan English is probably already deeply immersed in “Sunburnt Country: The History and Future of Climate Change in Australia”.

Alan has just finished his previous book by Hugh McKay, “Australia Reimagined: Towards a More Compassionate, Less Anxious Society” and was looking for something new to read when Sunburnt Country arrived at his door.

Sunburnt Country had been offered as a prize for readers of the Beneath the Wisteria blog and Alan was the lucky entrant.

Dr Joëlle Gergis, from the University of Melbourne, wrote the book to give people a better understanding of what Australia’s climate had been like and what we can expect.

A Shepparton fellow who’s read the book said kit was the best he had seen on the subject of climate change, explaining historical and future aspects of it in relatively simple and so understandable terms.
