Hot African air brings scorching heat, dust to Europe

Hot air sweeping north from Africa is bringing more brutal, paralyzing temperatures across Europe. 

In addition to prompting health warnings across the continent, the heat has reshaped life — and sometimes the very landscape — of the continent.

Sweden has a new highest point.

As of Wednesday, the country’s highest peak had lost its title because record heat has melted away the tip of a glacier atop the Kebnekaise mountain.
