Industry patience running out as NEG 'held hostage' by states

Industry patience is wearing thin as businesses urge states to stop holding the National Energy Guarantee hostage after the latest failure of consensus on the reform policy.
Large manufacturers like Orora are bearing
the brunt of higher energy costs.
Labor and Green-led states refused to back the federal government’s energy reform on Friday, although they agreed to keep working on the scheme, saying the policy needed more work if it was to provide real change.
