How a wave of nurdles woke up the people of Warrnambool

A year ago, not many people who live on the wild, picturesque south-western coast of Victoria could have told you what a nurdle was. “Maybe a couple of professors from Deakin University knew,” Hughson says.
These days nurdling is a verb in Warrnambool.

Groups of school kids go nurdling; a couple of elderly women from Port Fairy who have had knee replacements nurdle daily.
