The car was just centimetres from Chris Edwards before the driver slammed on the brakes.
Usually, Mr Edwards, who is blind, knows when a car is near him. He can hear it.

But in this instance, the car that nearly ran him over was electric and silent.
"It's definitely a growing challenge for myself and for others to feel confident about travelling around with electric and hybrid cars," Mr Edwards said.
"Compared to a few years back, I feel more anxious about moving safely.”
