Neil Westcott is delivering a message before Friday's National Drought Summit in Canberra

“I’m going to listen, then I’m going to plan and then I’m going to act.”
A dust storm envelops Melbourne's central business district
last year. Neil Westcott believes we must listen to scientists
and act on climate change. He will speak tomorrow with
Coordinator-General for Drought, Major General Stephen Day.
Those are the words of Coordinator-General for Drought, Major General Stephen Day.

Tomorrow, I’m due to meet the man as he continues his tour of the nation listening to farmers and helping to unite efforts to bring support to drought-affected farmers and their families.

I’m hoping that by meeting farmers like me, he will take the first-hand knowledge and advice with him to the National Drought Summit in Canberra on Friday.

Day’s words, although they are addressing drought relief, can be equally applied to action on climate change.
