Queensland unionist urges Labor to put climate action ahead of coal jobs

The Queensland secretary of the left-wing Maritime Union of Australia has broken ranks with the CFMMEU, of which it is a part, to urge Labor to put climate action ahead of coal jobs.

over Labor's climate change policy direction.
Bob Carnegie said Labor and the union movement must take a stand on climate change for the sake of future generations and that the ALP's new party leader must make its position clear to voters ahead of the next federal election.
