Agriculture ministers clinch climate deal

Australia's agriculture ministers have agreed to a national approach to tackle climate change which is predicted to lead to more frequent and extreme droughts.

Littleproud are meeting with agriculture Ministers from around the country. 

Federal Agriculture Minister Bridget McKenzie and Drought Minister David Littleproud are meeting with counterparts from all states and territories.

A new climate change group will oversee the delivery of the program, regularly reporting to ministers on its progress.

The program focuses on delivering information and improving farming decisions, including risk management.
