The dynamic that puts 'Profits Over People' is alive and well at the bottom of the ocean

Noam Chomsky.
Author Noam Chomsky has long discussed the idea of “Profits Over People” and that blatant insistence of world corporations continues today with the risky and dangerous bottom-of-the-sea search for methane hydrates.

Climate Progress, in a story headed: “Fire ice: buried under the sea floor, this new fuel source could be dangerous for the planet”, argues that a whole new source of greenhouse gases could come from the ocean floor.

Latest estimates put the amount of methane hydrate at 700 000 trillion cubic feet, that is more oil and gas than has ever been discovered.
