| Prof. Dan Kahan. |
Attempting to convince
people about the unfolding difficulties humanity faces because of climate
change falls, it seems, on deaf ears, but new research suggests they are not
even listening.
Through some innovative research Yale Law School professor
Dan Kahan, has found that a person’s political passion makes of difficult, if
not impossible for him, or her, to think clearly.
In a story headed: “The Most Depressing Discovery About the Brain, Ever”, Kahan illustrates that partisanship can undermine critical reason
skills and what is clearly wrong can become right.
