Sadly, the noose begins to tighten on climate change deniers

The noose is tightening around the necks of the climate change deniers.

That is not something most advocates of climate change want for the obvious reason that if the world’s climate scientists and others see that happening, then the world is bound for desperate trouble.

“I told you so” is a hollow victory chant and little more than a harbinger of trouble; trouble for everyone.

An ABC story headed: “2013 fourth hottest year on record for planet: reports” tells how two separate reports confirm continuation of the global warming trend.

The devil, as the adage argues, is in the detail and the report notes that NASA puts the carbon dioxide level in the atmosphere at its highest level in 800,000 years rising from 285 parts-per-million in 1880 to 400ppm last year.

Faced with such overwhelming evidence, one is left only to wonder upon what basis the climate change doubters can manufacturer the confidence they need to continue with their argument; arguments that are bereft of any scientific support.
