Media “balance” has
raised its disturbing and rather ugly head again as the conversation about
climate change continues.
Guardian writer, George Monbiot has turned to the Henrik
Ibsen’s play, “An Enemy of the People” to illustrate his point in criticising
an editorial piece in a media compatriot, the Daily Telegraph.
Writing in a Guardian story
headed: “So, after the IPCC report, which bit of the world are you prepared tolose?”, Monbiot says that the media and most businesses have no intention of seeking
to avoid the coming tragedies.
