Yackandandra has a 'lofty' 2022 energy sovereignty goal

Recent reports (including on Beneath the Wisteria) about Byron Bay’s intent be energy independent prompted almost immediate response about a similar happening in Victoria.

Supporter, Graham Parton who now lives in north east Victoria was quick to point out that Yackandandah aims for 100 per cent renewable energy and achieving energy sovereignty by 2022.

“Totally Renewable Yackandandah” is a community group that was formed in 2014 and has the lofty goal of powering this small Victorian town with renewable energy.
