From 'crap' to cornered

Tony Abbott once described climate change as “crap”, or something equally as disparaging.

It seems however, that Australia’s Prime Minster has soiled his own political nest and now stands with a distinct minority of world leaders who doubt and question what has been known to science for decades.

Writing in The Age, the environment editor, Peter Hannam, has wondered whether this could be the year of extinction for the climate-change denier.

His story, “Heat is on Abbott government over climate change as world turns” illustrates that Australia’s Federal Government almost stands alone in its denial of climate change.
