Renewable energy is
clearly critical to Australia finding its way through the climate change
dilemma.
The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) today (February
18) joined Minister for Industry and Science Ian Macfarlane to officially
switch on the Carnegie Perth Wave Energy Project’s onshore power station.
A full report on this first is on the ARENA website in a
story headed: “Australia’s first renewable energy from a wave power array”.
ARENA CEO Ivor Frischknecht said the occasion marked an
important point in the history of wave energy and is the culmination close to a
decade of work.
