'Climate ruin or climate change' - what's in a name?

W

hat's in a name? Does the phrase "climate change" adequately convey the devastating consequences of human-caused changes to our planet's climate?

A guest piece on PR Watch (The Centre for Media and Democracy) by Alex Carlin writes about why we should begin using “climate ruin” rather than “climate change”.

Carlin argues that we should re-brand this human dilemma now.

The story - “Climate Ruin vs. Climate Change” – argues that if the media repeated "Climate Ruin," as much as they now repeat "Climate Change" and "Global Warming," that would lead to action.
