oday’s Melbourne Age has unequivocally called out the
Abbott Government on climate change.
Its Editorial says: “Climate change is a global issue that
requires serious attention irregardless of ideology.”
“The Abbott government has shown itself to be out of step
with most of the world's developed countries on the issue of climate change and
environmental action. By its failure to enact coherent policies in this vital
area, it has made itself an international pariah, with countries such as Brazil
and the United States and members of the European Union questioning its intent,”
