| Melburnians seek refuge in the bay from a record hot March day. |
It hit 38.9 degrees in the CBD, while Moorabbin, in
Melbourne's south-east, has recorded its hottest March day on record with 40.8
degrees
The next hottest was on March 16, 2008.
And we're not
expected to get much relief overnight with the temperature not likely to drop
below 26 degrees.
"It looks like it will be a very warm night,"
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Michael Efron said.
