Urban Food Street questions 'car-centric' status quo

Buderim's "Urban Food Street".
Urban Food Street is a suburban work in progress.

This is a story of one suburban community in Queensland which now grows communal food on most of its nature strips.

At its heart the project questions the car-centric status quo of contemporary urban planning and the sprawling suburbias that result, by growing a greener suburban future.
Urban Food Street is inspired by the desire to present a greener  alternative, to what is commonly accepted as suburban living, the project is evolving progressively and changing frequently.

On its website Urban Food Street says, “You can find us through a warren of residential streets west of Gloucester Rd, Buderim on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia.”
