After winning office, the Abbott government successfully

Heading into the July 2 election, both parties are clear on their climate policy platforms, committing to distinct approaches to meet international and domestic obligations.
Labor has pledged to establish two emissions trading schemes
and achieve a goal of 50% renewables by 2030. While the Coalition, under Prime
Minister Malcolm Turnbull, is standing by its Direct Action plan and the
pursuit of technological innovation
